Lee Smith's early goal helped depleted Histon to a first win in five games over struggling Tamworth at the Glass World Stadium.

Daniel Sparkes provided the cross on eleven minutes for Smith to thrash a first goal in six hours for the home side.

Andrew Tidswell then almost added a second from twelve-yards, but was denied by Lambs keeper Danny Alcock.

And the visitors nearly snatched a point with defender Chris Smith heading against an upright and Alex Rodman forcing a great save from David Knight.
