French defender Djoumin Sangare was born in Dunkirk on 16th December 1983, and joined York last summer after spending the previous season with Blue Square Premier rivals Salisbury City.
Sangare originally appeared in the French League for Wasquehal before moving to this country, where he has also had spells at Lewes, Grays Athletic and Stafford Rangers.
Has since become a very popular figure at KitKat Crescent, where his no-nonsense style and honest approach has already won over the fans.
However, 'Jimmy' has also shown his prowess in the opposition area, and his dramatic late equaliser against Stevenage Borough in October is definitely one of season's most memorable moments.
