Levi Mackin was born in Chester on 4th February 1986, and joined York for the start of the 2009-10 campaign following a successful extended loan from Wrexham the previous season.

He spent six years at the Racecourse Ground after arriving there straight from school. Also gained representative honours with the Welsh under-21 side.

The tough tackling midfielder had a loan spell with Droylsden in 2007-08, and later represented the Minstermen in the FA Trophy final at Wembley Stadium in May 2009.

Recently reclaimed his place under Martin Foyle and has added greater stability and balance to the side.
