Prolific goalscorer who joined the Minstermen from Newcastle Benfield during the 2006-07 campaign.

That followed an FA Cup meeting between the two clubs in which he impressed then manager Billy McEwan.

Brodie was born in Gateshead on 8th July 1987. After arriving at KitKat Crescent he marked his debut with a goal when appearing as a second-half substitute in a 4-0 win at Altrincham in February 2007.

His goalscoring exploits soon brought him international recognition with England 'C'. However, Brodie's future with the Minstermen was suddenly thrown into doubt after he was allowed to join Barrow on loan last season.

But the dismissal of manager Colin Walker and appointment of Martin Foyle in his place soon saw him recalled from Holker Street. Brodie went on to reward the club with nineteen goals last term.

And this season he has gone from strength to strength when totalling an amazing 20 goals by 5th December, and in the process shattering the previous fastest record set by the legendary Arthur Bottom 54 years ago.
