York City goalkeeper Michael Ingham is going back to basics to improve his general distribution.
The 29-year-old former Northern Ireland international damaged a thigh muscle a few weeks ago and says it has since affected his confidence. He told BBC Radio York: "I've got a problem with my kicking at the moment. I pulled my thigh a couple of weeks ago and I'm a bit tentative.
"It's affecting my kicking. I'll probably go back to the drawing board this week and try and rectify it.
"I'm not a bad kicker of the ball. I think I'm a good kicker of the ball," continued Ingham.
"You take the good and the bad and you go back to the drawing board and you work on things and try to get better week-in week-out."
