York City are expecting to complete the signing of on loan Oxford United midfielder Chris Carruthers.

Carruthers has made the left-hand side of midfield his own since arriving at the end of September. He is reported as being keen to sign an 18-month deal with the club.

“We are trying to sort things out,” Carruthers told The Press.

“I want to stay here and I think we have got an excellent chance of getting promoted."
