York City could be forced into recalling centre-back Alan O'Hare from a loan spell at Gainsborough Trinity.

The former Mansfield Town defender has still to appear for the Minstermen since joining the club in the summer.

He recently had his loan extended to Gainsborough, although with a 24-hour call back included as part of the agreement.

But a groin injury to Djoumin Sangare in the weekend defeat at Crawley could see him making a prompt return to KitKat Crescent.

Manager Martin Foyle confirmed to the Press: “We have extended Alan’s loan at Gainsborough because he needs to play games, but he’s on a 24-hour call back and, if Jimmy is struggling, we will bring him back.”
