Four York City players have appeared at York Magistrates Court charged with late night violence.
Craig Nelthorpe, Michael Ingham, Michael Gash and Michael Rankine were charged with affray and accused of being part of a group that allegedly attacked Oliver Powell in Clifford Street during the early hours of Sunday 2nd August. Nelthorpe is also accused of hitting Mr Powell and causing him actual bodily harm.
Their cases were adjourned until 14th January, when they are expected to be committed to stand trial at York Crown Court, and they were released on unconditional bail.
