York City have released teenage striker Michael Emmerson by mutual consent.
The 19-year-old is expected to join Norton and Stockton Ancients in the Northern League after originally progressing through the youth ranks at Bootham Crescent.
But he was unable to force himself into the senior squad and has recently been on loan to Billingham Town and Osset Albion.
