York City goalkeeper Michael Ingham has said that his team-mates were unhappy over the travel arrangements prior to the FA Cup third round tie at Stoke City.

The Minstermen's team coach only arrived at the Britannia Stadium thirty minutes before an already delayed 3.30pm kick-off. That was due to heavy traffic and thick snow on their way along the M62.

“It’s one of those things with the weather. The lads thought we should have maybe travelled the day before and stayed overnight, but that’s not our decision. It’s out of our hands," Ingham told BBC Radio York.

“We have missed out on sampling the atmosphere. This is the disappointing thing among the lads. We have got here and just ran out and I’ve done the quickest warm up I’ve ever done in my life. We have to go and play, for some lads, the biggest game of their careers, which was disappointing. We never got to savour it and the lads are angry about it.”
