York City manager Martin Foyle has dismissed rumours that he is ready to make a bid for Histon striker Danny Wright.
That follows comments from the Cambridgeshire part-timers' chairman Tony Roach that York had already made a number of enquiries about their 25-year-old marksman.
"There is no truth in that rumour at all," Foyle told The Press. "I think he’s got a cartilage injury at the moment anyway.
“We have four strikers and that’s enough," he added.
“We have the ability to cope with injuries and suspensions and can rotate to keep them all on their toes.
“None of our strikers are guaranteed a place, whether you cost £50,000 or came in on a free transfer.”
