New signing Courtney Pitt will have to wait for his chance to impress after arriving on loan from Cambridge United for the rest of the season.

Pitt was not allowed to feature against his parent club at the weekend, and will also miss the midweek FA Trophy replay with Newport County, having already played in the competition for the U's.

“We have taken a chance to freshen things up by bringing Courtney Pitt in, who I’ve admired for a long time," Foyle told The Press.

“He can take people on, is great at set-pieces and can provide an outlet on that left side. You need that type of player and we have three now with Adam Smith and Kevin Gall as well."

Foyle also believes that winger Craig Nelthorpe can make a fresh start following his release to Luton Town on loan for the rest of the season.

“Craig Nelthorpe had the opportunity to move on and it was probably the right time for him and us. I have been able to bring in another quality player and it’s also balanced the books so the chairman’s delighted."
